Author Bio – Henrietta Potter
Writing was something Henrietta was always drawn to. Growing up, she tapped into her creative energy by writing poetry, rhyming sentences, and making up songs. While riding her bike with her siblings and neighborhood friends she made up songs about trees, dogs, cats, squirrels, the sky, the sun, the mean , the tree house the neighborhood kids made, the cake lady who cooked delicious pound cakes and just about any and everything.
As a child, Henrietta enjoyed watching cartoons and dreamed of the day she would sing alongside Big Bird, Bert & Ernie, Mr. Snuffleupagus, Oscar, and the rest of the Sesame Street gang. The Cookie Monster was her absolute favorite amongst those cast of furry characters because they had one thing in common – they both love cookies!
She wants to inspire every child to believe in themselves and believe then CAN! She believes every child has a hero inside of them waiting for that moment to shine! Henrietta aims to create books that make children dream, smile, laugh, and think.
Woof! Moo! Quack! Act Like The Animals Act (© 2015) is her first published book. It aptly reflects what Henrietta truly believes – enjoy life and have fun! She also penned two lovely songs to accompany this offering – The Big Red Barn and the whimsical tune Act Like The Animals Act. Henrietta has written many children’s manuscripts and children’s songs from 2011 to 2021 that have yet to be published. In 2016 life was lifing during that time, but now she’s looking forward to sharing those books with you!
